Learning Assignment 2: Privacy
This is the article I found about social media privacy and the ethics that come up how our information is used for researching.

With social media used in work environments employees need to be aware of the privacy settings when working with delicate details or information that they do not want to be out for the public. Many platforms that enable file sharing have the option of making the information private so only the participants that the information is available to can view it (for example google drive). They also need to be aware if they do want to share information for the public,
When it comes to openness and transparency it is good marketing knowing the workers of the company and communicating with them on a personal level.
Personal information should be shared when it concerns the company and its activities, but getting too personal on social media shows an unprofessional side in my opinion. Also when it comes to personal views about controversial things people should not damage the company by sharing opinions that differ from the company's views.
I googled me and tried to find what information was available on the internet. I usually use different usernames so I can keep myself quite anonymous. Google results direct me to Facebook that I use quite actively. It did not direct me straight to my personal profile, but all the possible people with the same name but I did find myself on the list. I like to keep my profile quite private so it only tells my gender, age, where I live and what school I go to. I think this is a good amount of information as I am studying International Business and networking is a good thing to do while you are still studying.
When I use my usernames, I like to keep the information so that people can connect and relate to me, for example if they live in the same country they can come and talk to me in Finnish. But at the same time I keep the distance so I will not be easily tracked, for example for my Facebook page.
Most of the more personal information I can control myself and when I want to I can delete it, but there are still aspects that will always stay on the internet. But every time I share content on internet I do keep it in mind that it can stay there for a long time and I make that commitment. I have never posted anything on the internet that I would have regretted afterwards.

Rules of Conduct
The key message in rules of conduct is to keep the ethical norms present when using social media and communication. It is also important to keep in mind to be transparent, honest and respect one another. Employees need to stay professional, transparent, keep a gap between their public and private image and all information needs to be accurate. The rules of conduct are created by the employees of a company and it is also their job to follow them. I think these rules should be saved so they are available for all personnel and maybe even for the public. If the rules of conduct are available for the public, the company needs to make sure that the rules are followed in social media so there won't be any controversies.
